The recent posts on comments discourse have led me to think about how to accept both the desire for more feedback and an ultimate lack of control over the amount/quality of feedback.

An obvious solution is to shift to another fandom/ship where there's a higher trend of leaving feedback. Another one which I'm still trying out is to enjoy self-promotion for its own sake.
